Post subject:  heads up display

Hi, new ELR leasee here, wondering how to control the heads up display?

I see 4 LED-type bright red lights that flash on the windshield, but I don't know what it does...

Other than that, I'm totally loving my ELR! Especially like the blue lighting behind the carbon fiber sections - I hadn't noticed that during my daytime test drive, only now that I have a vehicle and drove it at night!

I think those flashing lights are for when you are nearing an obstacle/car in front of you? I remember reading about that somewhere, but I can't remember for sure!

Yes, that's a Forward Collision Alert (FCA) System warning. You can adjust it on the steering wheel (see page 9-50 of the Owner's Manual).

Great, thanks for the info, and the link to the manual! Very helpful. Now I know what the flashing red lights are for, and how to turn them on and off :)

Blastphemy, I guess this doesn't qualify as a heads-up display? What sort of info would you like displayed in a heads up?

That HUD looks great. I'd love something like this.
