I didn't take it that seriously- it was just humor. For me, the message is that we work hard and it is ok to treat yourself.

I don't like that ad at all. Now everyone who sees me in the ELR thinks I'm a prick. Thanks a lot, Cadillac. Instead of people admiring the styling and being a little envious, they just assume I'm another arrogant, overpaid isolationist who ignorantly thinks the rest of the world sucks.

If I'd seen that ad before I leased the ELR, I wouldn't have pulled the trigger. Even though I get the humor in the ad, most other people don't.

Oh, BTW - I got completely toasted off the line today by a $33k Honda Accord, so it won't hurt my feelings if the ELR fails for costing $76+ and having an acceleration that only beats a Prius.

In your Honda Accord race, were you in EV mode or?

And did you see the new Cadillac ELR ad?



So far only 3000 views or so, not quite as controversial as the 1+million views on the 'poolside' ad...
